Be Someone People Want To Talk To.

Here’s a frequent theme I share with coaching clients:
Be someone people want to talk to.
Even seek you out.
How?
Being a great conversationalist isn’t about how well you talk.
It’s about how well you listen.
I view conversation as service to others.
Consider the last time you “needed to talk”.
Your mind was burdened and you had to release your swirling thoughts.
Thoughts that needed to be expressed, sorted and reconciled.
When you are being of service in a conversation, you provide the forum for this vital process to unfold for the other person.
Your focus is the understanding that their spoken words will provide order to their cluttered mind.
Don’t just listen. Actually hear.
When your focus is on their words, your selective words will also have more consequence.
The other person should leave you refreshed, clear and empowered by a stronger connection between their thoughts and words.
The value that comes from being of service in conversation will transform your life and relationships.
Live on Purpose.
